Veg Wrap | Roti Recipe 


We all love wraps! They are super healthy and perfect lunch or easy dinner option. You can even prepare it for after school snacks. Can be customized with the veggies you have on hand.

Ingredients:

Oil:
2 Tbsp

Vegetables:
Cabbage -
1 Small size, thinly sliced
Capsicum - 1 Small size, thinly sliced
Onion – 1 Medium size, thinly sliced
Carrot -
1 Medium size, grated
Tomato –1 Medium size, thinly sliced
Ginger - Grated, as required
Corn Boiled –½ cup

Spices:
Cumin –
½ Tea spoon
Turmeric Powder – 1 Pinch
Chilli Powder – As required
Salt – To taste
Garam Masala – 1 Tbsp

Flour:
Wheat – 2 Cups Or All Purpose Flour (Maida) – 4 cups

Herbs:
Coriander (Dhania) - Chopped (as required)
Chilli Powder (Kashmiri) – As required

Method of Preparation: Dough

Step 1
Take a medium size bowl and add 2 cups of flour of your choice along with salt, water and oil with it.

Step 2
Mix well and start kneading the dough using knuckles till it gets softened.

Step 3
Add water till it gets consistency.

Step 4
After the dough is kneaded cover it with damp cloth and let it rest of 10-15 minutes to get rotis softer.

Method of Preparation: Veggie Stuffing

Step 1
Add 2 tbsp of oil to the pan.

Step 2
Add cumin seeds and grated ginger while oil is heated up.

Step 3
Add onion and fry it till the raw smell goes.

Step 4
Add all the vegetables - Cabbage, Capsicum, Onion, Carrot, Tomato and stir it till it gets softer.


Step 5
Add boiled corn and stir well. 

Step 6
Add all the spices - Turmeric Powder, Chilli Powder, Garam Masala and Salt to taste.

Step 7
Garnish it with coriander and keep it aside.

Method of Preparation:
Chapati

Step 1
Roll out few balls from the prepared dough.

Step 2
Place them on a flat board to flatten them further with the help of a rolling pin.

Step 3
Once the chapati gets the perfect round shape, place it on a pan with medium flame.

Step 4
Use a pair of tongs to flip the chapati to ensure its cooked both the sides.

Note: You can use either oil or use the richness of ghee.

Method of Preparation:
Veggie Wrap

Step 1
Neatly wrap the chapati and place it for serving.

Step 2
If you are packing for lunch then wrap in an aluminum foil. 

Optional: 
Spread mayonnaise on the chapati and add the filling on top of it. You can add grated cheese to it. 

Your yummy Veggie Wrap is ready to serve!
