How To Make Pesto Sauce At Home

Basil Pesto Sauce Recipe | Quick, Easy, Fresh And Homemade Pesto Sauce 


Pesto is one of Italy’s most quintessential condiment. Originating from Genoa, Italy, Pesto is a deliciously green sauce with a basil-forward. The name derives from the Italian verb 'pestare' which means “to pound” or “to crush, in reference to the original method of preparation.

This Basil Pesto Sauce is the fastest, easiest way to add flavor to any meal.

Ingredients: 
Vegetables:
Basil Leaves – 2 cups
Garlic – 10 cloves
Dairy:
Parmesan Cheese – 2 Tbsp  
Others:
Salt (White or Himalayan Pink) – To taste
Oil (Extra Virgin Coconut or Olive) – 2 Tbsp 
Nuts:
Walnut – ½ Cup 
Method of Preparation: Pesto Sauce  
Step 1
Wash basil leaves in fresh water.
Step 2
Add basil leaves, walnut, garlic, cheese, oil and salt in a blender and run it for less than 1 minute. 
Note:
* Pesto sauce needs to be added to white sauce before adding pasta.
* You can add vegetables like broccoli, sweet corn, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms etc to the pasta.
* Avoid dry basil leaves.
* You can replace walnuts with pine nuts or cashew nuts. 
Usage:
Toppings and dressings for Pizza, Salads, Sandwiches and Breads 
Storage:
Store in an air tight container and refrigerate it.
